In introducing Andre Agassi to a Palo Alto audience Friday, the moderator noted that the tennis star's autobiography recently hit No. 1 on the bestseller list.
Agassi smiled to the crowd at the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center.

Andre Agassi has admitted using crystal meth and then lying to tennis antidoping authorities in 1997 to escape sanctions after testing positive for the drug.
But Adam Helfant, the new head of the ATP Tour, said earlier this week that he considered it highly unlikely the tour would try to pursue or punish Agassi retroactively.
"Quite simply," Helfant said in a telephone interview, "even if we wanted to, we couldn't because he's no longer an active player."

ANDY KEE won a double in the Mydin-Head Malaysian Senior age group super doubles tennis championships at the National Tennis Centre in Jalan Duta recently.
His first successful outing was in the men's 45-50 years age group.
Kee teamed up with Marco Winter and defeated Khairudin Baharom-Zulkifli Kadir 6-4, 6-2 in the final.

U.S. Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro will play at next year's Queen's Club tournament in an effort to improve his grasscourt game ahead of Wimbledon.

Schaper, who is certified by the U.S. Professional Tennis Association, offers Quickstart Tennis, a program endorsed by the International Tennis Federation, for youngsters 3 to 6, 7 to 9 or 9 to 11, taught in classes ranging from 45 to 60 minutes.

It's game, set and match for local tennis legend Keith Smith MBE who is hanging up his racket and retiring from the court at the end of the month.
Boughey Gardens Head Coach Keith will officially step down at this season's Junior Presentation night at Harper Adams on November 30.
And it will be a fitting place to depart for a man who has coached thousands of children throughout his career spanning 40 years.

It was time to high five 1,300 passionate and celebrating supporters of Midland, Michigan as this Midwestern community celebrated its newly-won status as America's Best Tennis Town with a free celebration for everyone, hosted by the Midland Community Tennis Center.
The MCTC was robust with energy as a community came together to celebrate their accomplishment.
Food, free commemorative t-shirts, and tennis for kids was taken in by all.
